Library & Information Centre
Open to the public Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm, late nights Tuesday –Thursday ‘til 8pm. Broad range of books available for loan, free internet access, help with form filling and advice on a whole range of services and issues is available.
Police – Neighbourhood Policing Team

Woodhouse Children’s Centre
A wide range of services, resources, support and activities are available for parents with children under 5 within the centre. You can contact the Children´s Centre on 01484 234231. For the current activity timetable click here.
Health Clinics
A range of health related clinics are available from baby clinics to quit smoking. A family planning clinic is currently running on Friday’s between 1pm and 3.30pm. Contact the centre for further details.
Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing

The Chestnut Café is friendly, with a relaxed atmosphere and great prices! The café is open from 9am Monday to Saturday until mid afternoon.
Credit Union
Castle & Minster Credit Union in partnership with the Chestnut Centre is offering a whole range of ‘banking’ services from the centre. These include low cost loans, savings accounts and the option to open a current account allowing you to manage and access your money at the centre 6 days a week. Deposits and withdrawals can also be made.
Cashpoint
The centre has a free to use cashpoint for easy access to your money.
IT Suite
Accommodates up to 15 people, available 7 days a week, on-site technician. Fully equipped with computers, laptop, scanner, printer and interactive whiteboard.
Meeting Rooms
Available 7 days a week, 8am ‘til late. From interview rooms for one to one meetings right up to a 20 person boardroom. Catering and AV / presentation equipment available.
Training Courses
A wide and varied range of courses are run or delivered at the centre by Huddersfield Technical College and others. For details of what is currently available contact the centre.
